The Atlanta Council on International Relations held its annual Mid-Winter Gala at the Capital City Club downtown on February 22nd and was attended by many Atlanta luminaries. A highlight was the presentation by ACIR President Mark Pierson of a inscribed glass lighthouse thanking past president Robert Kennedy for over a decade of service to ACIR.
Honorary Gala Chairman Consul General of Switzerland Urs Broennimann gave remarks thanking ACIR for its contribution to Atlanta’s international community. He also mentioned the importance of ACIR’s Diplomatic Dialogue program to the Consular community in Atlanta.
The attendees enjoyed a fine dinner and danced to the music of the 17-piece Lanier Jazz Ensemble. Sangpyo Suh, Consul General of the Republic of Korea, KONSTANTINOS ADAMOPOULOS, Consul of Greece and Elliot Wang, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office represented Atlanta’s diplomatic community in addition to CG Brönnimann.
