Hybrid fireside chat with UBS CEO Sergio P. Ermotti

As part of the Thought Leadership Series of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, we had a virtual fireside chat with UBS CEO Sergio P. Ermotti, who shared internal perspectives on the Credit Suisse acquisition.
This was followed by an in-person round-table discussion to create opportunities right here in Atlanta.

Sergio Ermotti provided valuable insights into the integration of Credit Suisse, discussing the additional capital outlays required, the evolving competitive landscape in Switzerland and globally, and the implications for UBS. He also touched on liquidity, recent bank failures, cross-border consolidation, and the adaptation of GEN AI. The rapid devaluation and bailout of Credit Suisse on March 19th, 2023, significantly impacted the banking sector, raising important questions about predicting inherent risks within financial entities to protect the value chain and consumers.
